Casarecce with Broccoli and Italian Sausage

Serves 4 

Ingredients

  • 400g of Pasta Pepe fresh casarecce
  • 2 large Italian-style pork sausages
  • 1 large head of broccoli
  • 1 red chilli 
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt

Steps

  1. Wash and divide broccoli into similar sized pieces (peel and chop the stalks as well).
  2. Cook broccoli in boiling salted water for a few minutes and then add the casarecce and continue cooking together for another 4 minutes then drain. 
  3. Meanwhile, in a frying pan, heat the oil and gently fry the chilli for a minute. 
  4. Remove the skins for the sausages and break into pieces. Add to the pan and fry until all the mean has changed colour. 
  5. Add pasta and broccoli to the pan and toss to combine. Serve immediately. Buon appetito!
