Salvatore Pepe is an Italian chef who worked in Florence before migrating to Australia as a young man. Since then, he has promoted Italian flavours and culinary traditions through his restaurants and cafes, cooking schools and community engagement. Now he brings his knowledge of and passion for premium local produce to Pasta Pepe drawing on his family traditions and years of experience.

A History of Tradition

Growing up in Calabria, Salvatore Pepe’s daily life was steeped in the long culinary traditions of Southern Italy. His father would think nothing of walking miles to a neighbouring village to buy the best fish and the bread, pasta and wine that graced the tables of family and friends was always home made. Those memories have been transplanted into his attitude to food here in Australia – it’s always worth taking a little extra time to produce something special to share with your family.
